On this journey we visit cities that shaped ‘Gabo’s life, like Cartagena, Barranquilla & Aracataca, but we also visit Nueva Venecia, a fisherman’s village on poles in the great swamp of Santa Marta, and the beautiful shrine where ‘el Libertador’ Simon Bolivar died. In Parque Tayrona, known for its beautiful hikes and crystal clear seas, we’ll come at rest ready to be astonished in the Sierra Nevada, the world’s most biodiverse nature park. Our trip coming to an end we’ll conquer Colombia’s biggest river ‘el Rio Magdalena’ and we’ll arrive in the postcard town of Usiacuri, the settlement that inspired Colombia’s greatest poet Julio Flores, to write his best work.
